Davinci Resolve Plotagraph Tutorial

Use Davinci Resolve 17 or Resolve 16 to make a plotagraph A plotagraph is where we can take a static photo and create motion effects in the image and export it as a video. This effect is not like a cinemagraph where video is used and objects are masked and frozen from other video areas/ The effect is then looped to create the a video effect. Davinci Resolve can also to do the opposite. This photo effect was made popular using the plotaverse iOS app and the Plotaverse Pro website. In this case, the free version of Davinci Resolve can be used to take any image and add motion effects to create an animated GIF or video. The advantage to using resolve is we do not have to use the canned built-in effects. Any part of the image can be turned into motion. Just like using Photoshop or Adobe After Effects, the free software version of Davinci Resolve is very capable of easily making a plotagraph.
